Sitka is home to world class fishing for King Salmon, Silver Salmon, and Halibut. Located on the west side of Baranof Island in Southeast Alaska, Sitka is only three hours away from Seattle by jet on Alaska Airlines.
Sitka has something special to share with each adventurer who visits its shores! Besides our legendary Alaskan Hospitality, here are a few other things to look forward to!
The history and cultural anthropology student will want to investigate our beautiful seaside city for remnants of its Russian and Tlingit Indian heritage.

Our area also sports a wide assortment of bottom feeders; including: Pacific Halibut, Lingcod and Red snapper.
For the photography buff our pristine area is truly a dream come true! You'll find a photo-op around every turn, with incredible mountain views, gorgeous sunsets, and numerous water and boat pictures because Sitka has the largest harbor system in the state of Alaska.
