Sitka has something special to share with each adventurer who visits its shores! Besides our legendary 'Alaskan Hospitality', here are a few other things to look forward to!
The history and cultural anthropology student will want to investigate our beautiful seaside city for remnants of its Russian and Tlingit Indian heritage.
The nature enthusiast will luxuriate in the awesome abundance of wildlife our area enjoys: Humpback Whales, sealions, seals, sea otters, brown bear, Sitka black-tailed deer, tufted puffins,and bald eagles - to name a few! |

The avid angler will be in 'heaven' when enjoying our highly touted 'world-class' fishing opportunities! You'll be 'hooked' on Sitka, Alaska when you land a trophy King Salmon, acrobatic coho, chum, sockeye, or humpback salmon. Our area also sports a wide assortment of 'bottom feeders'; including: Pacific Halibut, Lingcod and Red snapper.
For the photography 'buff' our pristine area is truly a dream-come-true! Make sure you bring plenty of film since you'll find a photo-op around every turn.
