Fishing Vessels

The fishing boats of Alaska Premier Charters and the Wild Strawberry Lodge

Your fishing enjoyment is guaranteed on any of our six high-speed charter vessels.

New Boats

Full House on a Sitka Alaska King Salmon hotspot

Four of our boats are new aluminum custom-built 30-foot charter vessels, set up with twin Yamaha 225 four-stroke motors. Each of these vessels can hold six clients plus crew, and all clients can be seated in the cabin at the same time. This means very comfortable and personalized service for everyone in your group. The boats are fully equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and safe walk-around decks for your fishing comfort. All of these boats also have modern stand-up heads on board. The names of these four boats are: "Triple Play," "Checkmate," "High Roller" and "Full House."

It'l Do

The "It'l Do" is a 35-foot vessel, also fully equipped with state-of-the-art electronics and spacious walk-around decks for your fishing comfort. This boat, too, can hold six people plus crew. As with the four new boats, all clients can fit in the cabin at the same time. Everyone in your group will enjoy the comfortable ride, as this boat is set up with Twin Mercury Verado 250 four-stroke motors. The It'l Do has a porta potty in the cabin.

Hunter

The sixth boat in our fleet is the "Hunter." This is a great boat for a smaller group of four-five clients. It is a 25-foot fiberglass vessel and runs on a single Mercury Verado 275 four-stroke motor. It has a porta potty in the cabin. As with the other boats, it is fully equipped with state-of-the-art electronics to ensure the best possibility of catching great fish!

Alaska Premier Charters has a fleet second to none

Once again, on behalf of [our group], we'd like to thank you all for a great time. Our trip to [your lodge] was truly a success, and as usual the food and accommodations were wonderful. As it turns out, it wasn't until the trip home that we realized how successful we really were. We met parties in the airports in Seattle and in Sacramento returning from Sitka, and found out that they did not limit out in salmon including a threesome that didn't catch any. Much of the credit for our success should go to Captain Jeff for his dogged perseverance. And, despite the pesky sea lions, we were able to limit out even with a couple rookies on board. Please offer him special thanks for that and his solicitous concern for the old guy (me). Also thanks to Levi, the deckhand, especially on my behalf as I gave him a thorough refresher course in how to untangle a line and reel. We're already talking about our return trip and I gave your name and information to the party from [a different lodge] that got skunked on the salmon. Thanks again. -Ralph S. (June 2010)
