To confirm your dates for fishing, a 50 percent deposit of the total package cost per person is required within 14 days of the day you make your reservation. The balance is due 30 days prior to your arrival at Wild Strawberry Lodge. We recommend you make your reservations as far in advance as possible to insure your preferred choice of dates. All Deposits and Moneys received are non-refundable for cancellations within 60 days of your scheduled trip, unless your cancelled dates can be refilled. A $100 administrative fee per person will be assessed for all refunds. Changes in confirmed reservation dates are considered cancellations and are subject to our cancellation policy.
What to Bring on Your Trip:
Average moderate temperatures range from 50 to 70 degrees Fahrenheit during our summer season. Dress casual and be comfortable. While we furnish the foul weather gear and boots; some items you may want to bring with you are:
- Warm jacket and warm clothing you can “layer” for easy adjustment to weather changes and temperature swings;
- Cap
- Waterproof gloves
- Comfortable tennis shoes or hiking boots
- Sunscreen
- Lip balm
- Sunglasses
- Seasick medication (if needed).
- Also, bring a camera, and a hearty appetite.
NOTE: We encourage you to pack as light as is possible, because Alaska Airlines allows one carry-on item, and two check in items, free of charge. This way, you can check in your boxed fish as luggage on your return trip home.
Transportation:
Sitka has direct jet service via Alaska Airlines and vehicle access on the Alaska Marine Highway ferry system. (Transportation is not included in the package rates.)
